Microneedling Facial Treatments including Mesotherapy in Wakefield

Looking for a way to improve the appearance of your skin? Microneedling may be the answer for you!

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cutting-edge cosmetic procedure that utilises tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. This process prompts the skin’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. These crucial proteins are responsible for maintaining skin’s youthful elasticity and suppleness, but their production naturally declines as we age. By reintroducing them through Microneedling, we encourage the skin to heal and rejuvenate itself from within.

The Microneedling Experience

Before your treatment session, I will conduct a thorough consultation to understand your unique skin concerns and goals. This personalised approach allows us to tailor the treatment to suit your specific needs. During the procedure, a specialised device is gently glided across the targeted areas, creating micro-channels that penetrate the skin’s uppermost layers. These channels are painlessly and carefully adjusted to a depth that maximises results while minimising any discomfort. The entire process is quick and virtually painless, with most clients describing it as a mild tingling sensation.

The Microneedling Process

01

Cleansing

The initial step of microneedling involves thorough cleansing of the skin's surface. This process removes dirt, makeup, and impurities, creating a clean canvas for the subsequent procedures. Cleansing helps prevent infections and ensures optimal penetration of subsequent products.
02

Enzyme Peel

An enzyme peel is applied to gently exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin. This step promotes the removal of dead skin cells, allowing for better microneedling results. Enzyme peels contain natural enzymes that dissolve dead skin cells, enhancing skin texture and radiance.
03

Toning

After exfoliation, a toner is applied to balance the skin's pH levels and prepare it. Toning hydrates and soothes the skin. The toner contains hylauranic acid, a natural compound found in the skin that increases elastictiy and hydration.
04

Skin Preparation

During this stage, an antiseptic solution is applied to disinfect the skin in preparation for needling.
05

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy involves the application of a customised solution of nutrients that are infused into the skin using microneedling technology. These active ingredients tighten, hydrate and rejuvinate the skin. The specific solution applied will be tailored to your skin type and skin concerns.
06

Microneedling

The core step of the process, microneedling utilises a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing response, triggering collagen and elastin production. Microneedling helps improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and promote a more youthful complexion.
07

Mask

Following microneedling, a soothing and nourishing mask is applied to calm the skin and enhance its absorption of nutrients. The mask's formulation provides hydration, reduces redness, and supports post-treatment recovery.
08

SPF (Sun Protection Factor)

After the procedure, it's crucial to apply a broad-spectrum SPF product. This shields the skin from harmful UV rays that can impede the healing process and cause further damage. SPF protection helps maintain the results of microneedling and prevents potential complications from sun exposure.

The Power of Collagen Renewal

The increased collagen and elastin production work to:

01

Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Microneedling naturally softens out those pesky lines, leaving you with a more youthful appearance.
02

Minimise Scars, Sun Damage, Stretch Marks and Acne Marks

By breaking down scar tissue and stimulating new collagen formation, Microneedling can fade the appearance of acne scars and other imperfections.
03

Improve Skin Texture and Tone

Say goodbye to dull, uneven skin as Microneedling enhances overall texture and evens out skin tone, revealing a radiant and even complexion.
04

Tighten and Lift Sagging Skin

The rejuvenating effects of Microneedling lead to firmer, more lifted skin, especially in areas prone to laxity, such as the jawline and neck.
05

Enhance Skincare Product Absorption

Micro-channels created during the procedure allow for improved absorption of serums and creams, maximising their effectiveness.

Post-Treatment and Results

After your Microneedling session, you may experience some mild redness, akin to a slight sunburn. This is entirely normal and typically subsides within a day or two. Since the procedure is minimally invasive, downtime is minimal, allowing you to resume your regular activities almost immediately.

As your skin continues to regenerate and replenish collagen, the full results of Microneedling become apparent over the following weeks.  For optimal outcomes, it is recommended to have a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart. This will be discussed in your initial consultation.

The results of microneedling can be dramatic. Your skin will look smoother, firmer, and more radiant. You may also notice a reduction in the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles.
